It’s been awhile I know! I’m so sorry. I’ve been busy traveling and living life. At some point I need to go back and catch everyone up on my recent travels. I’ve been trying really hard to live in the moment. And for the most part I’ve done a great job of it. Speaking of which, I decided to do a quick blog in honor of missing you and Halloween. I know everyone shares different views when it comes to the celebration of Halloween and I totally respect that. So hopefully you’ll be able to respect and enjoy mine. I have nothing but good memories of Halloween and this year will be added to my box of great times. I’ve taught on Halloween in my English classes for the last two years. But this year I stepped it up a notch. I showed some videos that shared a basic history of Halloween and of course I had to show them Michael Jackson’s mini film, Thriller. We also played games, ate candy and I was able to introduce them to one of the many holidays celebrated in America. What was most fun of all was having 25 students scrunched together in my home and watching scary movies with them. They brought lots of snacks, we ate, they screamed, we laughed – SUCCESS!!! I had a student tell me that they think of me more like family and not just a teacher. That made my heart melt. It’s my honor and pleasure to provide them a space where they can have fun, be free, and be loved. I look forward to our next big Holiday – Thanksgiving! Please enjoy the short video Halloween 2016 in Nanyang that will show you how we celebrated Halloween together. Thanks for reading and watching!
